No time for fear, or the frail or the faint
The sandwich board was hard to wear
His head was steady loosing hair
The look in his eyes was filled with fright
Did he want to die? It looked like he might
A man with nothing, no wife and no shame
No children, no job, no money, no fame
How did he lose it? Where'd it all go?
Was it something he did? Nobody can know
For him it's all over, but life must go on
Will anyone remember him once he is gone?
His life is now trashed, in the dumpster it's tossed
For once we lose hope... all surely is lost
So to you I leave, with my one parting thought
Do not give up hope, and your life will not rot.

It's far too easy to give up hope. When the chips are down and all seems to be going against you, that's when the true test begins. There are stories all throughout history when the odds looked dim, or there wasn't much to live for. Then the whole "Things are darkest before dawn" adage proved to be true and things get better. Even the Bible has stories like this. Life is like a swinging pendulum and everyone will have ups and downs. For without the lows, would we... nay, can we TRULY appreciate the highs?
My parting words are one of my favorite sayings. "Everything's always alright in the end. So if it's not alright, it's not the end..."
If you just need someone to talk to, you might be surprised how well a complete stranger can/will listen. Try it... even talk to me if you like.
